Better Privacy

BetterPrivacy is a safeguard which protects from usually not deletable LSO's

Better Privacy serves to guard against undeletable long-term cookies, a new generation of "Super-Cookie", that silently conquered the internet. This new cookie technology provides unrestricted user monitoring to industry and market research. With regards to privacy 'Flash' and 'DOM Storage' -cookies are most critical.

Flash-Cookies (Local Shared Objects) are bits of info placed on your computer system by way of Flash plugin. These Super-Cookies are placed in central system folders and thus shielded from removal. They're often employed like regular browser cookies. Even though their thread potential is significantly greater than traditional cookies, only handful of users started to take notice of them.

It really is of such frequent occurrence that -after a time- countless of these cookies reside in special folders. Plus they will not deleted - never! BetterPrivacy can stop them, e.g. by silently removing these cookies on each browser start. So this extension is kind of "install and forget add-on". Although the automated deletion is totally safe (no negative impact on your browsing), it's still possible to review and delete new Flash-cookies manually. BetterPrivacy also protects against 'DOM Storage' longterm user tracking, a browser feature that has been granted from the major browser producers.

How can my dad see my facebook account when he's not friends and I have good privacy settings?
So I know my father is able to view my facebook account, he has told me and pointed out certain things as well as referenced my profile, which he should not have any idea about unless he can see my profile. Based off of the privacy settings, people she not be able to see my profile at ALL, and I know he knows my siblings passwords so I have privacy setting on them as well. He works at a hospital, so is there any way they allow him to look at profiles as he chooses, bypassing the privacy settings? I don't have a bad profile, I'm a senior in high school and I just feel very violated by him having access to a place where I should be able to communicate with my friends without worrying about parents watching over my shoulder.

room dividers with good privacy?
I am looking into renting a basement apartment with my friend. The only issue is that is only has 1 actual bedroom. The basement itself if a very decent size, and could easily contain another room setup and still have living room space. Building an actual wall is not an option, so what are so INEXPENSIVE ways to turn the space into a bedroom that still provides a decent amount of privacy? *some, sorry, typo lol

Despite all my protection, a site keeps popping up on my computer. How do I remove this?
I have this site 'the-miami-times.com' website popping up very occasionally on my Firefox browser at random intervals. I have 'Microsoft Security Essentials', 'SuperAntiSpyware', 'Malwarebytes', 'Firefox Script Blocker', 'Pop-up blocker' and the safe 'Better privacy' addon. Could somebody please tell be the best solution. What type of virus would this be? Will it affect my privacy? For example, could it steal my passwords? It pops up in a new Firefox tab. I have tried scanning in Safe Mode, too. My only real-time anti-virus is Microsoft Security Essentials, the others aren't real-time they are on-the-side scans. I was told these won't conflict. Are they conflicting? Also, the site came up whilst on Y!A and I believe Y!A doesn't have such pop-ups...
